Hi! I’m Coach Amanda, and I’m so excited to be serving as the Figure Skating Coordinator. I started skating when I was six and fell in love with synchronized skating just a few years later. From 2000 to 2011, I skated with Chicago Skates, progressing from Youth ISI through Intermediate. I also was within other disciplines in the sport such as Singles and Ice Dance. Those years shaped not only my skills on the ice but also my deep appreciation for teamwork, discipline, and the skating community. This inspired me to start coaching in 2009- and I’ve never looked back.

After I graduated, I continued coaching at McFetridge and had the opportunity to help coach synchronized teams.  Most recently, I have been co-coaching our home team- Chicago Red Line and it's been a joy to be back within the synchro division. I’m always looking for ways to grow as a coach and now- Skating Coordinator, whether it’s attending conferences like U.S. Figure Skating’s Access to Excellence, staying active in webinars, or connecting with other coaches and professionals within the skating community.

I earned my degree in Communications in Public Relations & Advertising from DePaul University, which has helped me blend my passion for skating with strong leadership and communication skills.

Outside the rink, I’m a mom to my amazing son, who is already discovering his own love for skating. I enjoy traveling, learning new things, and spending time with my family.

As Figure Skating Coordinator, I’m here to support skaters at every level—to help them grow, achieve their goals, and walk away from the rink feeling confident, empowered, and inspired. I’m here to help you and your skater with any questions you may have, there is a place for everyone in the skating community!
